How does a custom order work?

Ordering a custom piece of jewellery is exciting and very special! There are a few important details I will need.
To order a custom design contact me through this website, or email me at [email protected] with the following details:

1. Your contact details.
2. Jewellery type: ring, earrings, necklace, etc...
3. Ring size if applicable and if you know it. If you're not sure, see my sizing advice.
4. Metal. E.g. Sterling silver, 9ct yellow gold, bronze, etc...
5. Reference photos or description of design: I especially love recieving photos of my own work, but am open to photos of other jewellery or photos of nature (I often model my jewellery based off photos of rocks and bodies of water).
Note: I will direct you to other jewellers if your reference photos look more like their work/style, or if I don't have capacity for your custom orders.
7. Your deadline if you have one. I will do my best to meet this. Typically custom orders take between 4-8 weeks. See information below on time frames for custom orders.

I will reply and we can work the design out properly, and I will give you a quote and estimated timeframe.
Once we have worked out a design you are happy with, you will make a deposit and I will begin making.

Payment

A deposit is required for custom orders before I begin making. The final payment can be made on completion before shipping. The deposit will differ from piece to piece.

Time frame

Custom order time frames will vary. I will give you a more accurate estimate once you contact me.

Depending on the design, I may need to source specific gemstones, or your custom request may come at a very busy time of orders. Therefore, once we have fully discussed the deisign I can confirm whether the comission will take either 4 weeks, or as long as 8 weeks.
Crafting will begin once I have recieved the deposit.

If you have a particular deadline please notify me and I will do my best to meet this.

What kinds of jewellery can I have custom made?

Almost anything!

Common commissions include wedding rings and designs of rings, earrings and necklaces I have already made but in a different size, metal or stone.
Unique comissions I have made include a bolo tie to celebrate the launch of a musician's new album, and a ring featuring the skyline of some meaningful maunga/mountains.

There is no commitment once you enquire. If you are unsure about price or design just get in touch and I can give you an idea.

If you don't want to contact me just yet but want a general idea of price I reccomend to have a look at other similar products on my website.
